Biography
AJ Durand develops engaging, high-quality course media for SoPA's technology-rich teaching and learning environments including graphics, audio/video, and interactive elements.
He identifies as an "Experience Engineer" and enjoys creating a process of wayfinding for users navigating both real-world and digital spaces. Outside of the office, he’s an award-winning nightlife entertainer, trapeze enthusiast, and host of a digital network, where he leads courses in productivity, self-success, and spiritual creativity for the LGBTQIA+ Community.
AJ holds an Advanced Teaching Certification in Yoga from Yogaview in Chicago. He’s led workshops and teacher trainings across the country on yoga philosophy, history and practice. He mentors students as a Design Coach for the Media & Design program, and leads SoPA's Faculty Development Webinar Series.
He lives in Austin, TX with his partner and 3 cats.
