Dear SoPA Students,

Spring is officially here and SoPA is focused on new beginnings and growth. Staff, faculty, and students are enjoying our new uptown offices in the Richardson building and azaleas are blooming everywhere on campus. Spring also means that it is time for you to register for classes! You will receive your time ticket to register via email and we highly encourage you to do so as soon as possible so that you score your top class choices. If you haven't already, now is also a good time to check in with your Academic Advisor to make sure you are staying on track. I hope you get a chance to enjoy this beautiful weather and perhaps even socially distant outdoor socializing!

Dan is a Senior Academic Advisor at SoPA, based at the Elmwood campus. He specializes in helping undergraduate students around academic planning, transitioning back to school, monitoring academic performance and providing information and resources to promote academic progress. He advises students in the undergraduate programs of Information Technology, Health & Wellness, Exercise Science, and Homeland Security Studies. He has been at Tulane since May 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Rahey was M.B.A. Program Coordinator at the University of New Orleans. He first moved to New Orleans in 2004 and has been back since 2011.

Mr. Rahey has a Bachelor's degree in Business & Management from the University of Maryland University College and a Master's of Public Administration from Bowie State University.

In his spare time, he enjoys sports (mainly soccer), fishing and cooking for family and friends.

Dan says, "My favorite thing about SoPA is the students. They come from all different backgrounds and walks of life. No student is the same and I enjoy learning about them and helping them reach their goals."
