During the 2021 Green Wave football season, the Tulane School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) launched the SoPA MVP honor as a new means of publicly recognizing individuals who are grand supporters of Tulane SoPA and its students.

Seven MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) were honored throughout the season during each Green Wave game at Yulman Stadium. Tulane Athletics reserved the first time-out to announce the SoPA MVP while honorees were broadcast on the jumbotron.

The Green Wave’s mascot, Riptide, wore a custom Tulane SoPA jersey as part of the celebration.
