Louisiana First Responders to Receive Tuition Discount at Tulane SoPA
The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (LASFM) and Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) announce a collaboration that will provide valuable educational opportunities to LASFM employees and fire service members through a 20% discount on tuition for both undergraduate and graduate courses at Tulane SoPA.
This partnership underscores LASFM’s commitment to the continued professional development and education of its workforce, ensuring that employees have access to high-quality, flexible academic programs designed to meet the demands of their careers and personal growth.
“Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal is a perfect partner for Tulane SoPA as we both share a mission to provide continued education and skill development for public servants,” said Dr. Michael Wallace, director of the Emergency and Security Studies program at Tulane SoPA. “The collaboration will not only benefit individual employees, but it will also strengthen our class discussions and expand our student network.”
LASFM employees are now among the ranks of active and retired public safety personnel, including firefighters, police officers, and paramedics, who are also eligible for the tuition discount.
