Students dismissed from, or on probation at, their last college may be admitted to the School of Professional Advancement on probation, at the discretion of the Academic Performance Committee. Conditions of probation at entry generally include a load limit of seven credits in the first semester. Continued enrollment after entering on probation is generally contingent upon the student earning grades of C or better in all courses taken in the first semester.

Applicants not pursuing a degree
Individuals desiring to attend the School of Professional Advancement who do not plan to earn a degree (i.e. are “non-matriculating”) do not need to submit transcripts of previous college work. However, proof of high school graduation is still required.

Step 4

Complete additional requirements

Additional program-specific requirements may be needed. This could include an application essay and interview.

Previously enrolled School of Professional Advancement Students

School of Professional Advancement students who have been inactive for one year (three consecutive semesters) will be required to re-apply for admission. This includes submitting a new admissions application and application fee. Students who were not enrolled in classes the previous semester must go to the online application to update their contact information and their government-issued ID.

Next Steps After Admittance

Step 1: Accept the Offer of Admittance

You will receive an email letting you know that your admission decision is available in your application portal. When you are admitted, you will be required to take two actions:

  1. Accept your Offer of Admittance.
  2. Pay your $100 deposit toward your first term of enrollment.* **

*Payment by credit card is preferred. If you choose to pay by ACH or bank draft, the deposit may take up to 14 business days to clear and could delay your access to course registration.
**Tulane employees using the tuition waiver must still pay the deposit.

Step 2: Activate Your Email

Once your enrollment deposit is received, you will receive your Tulane email address and user ID, sent to the personal email address listed on your application. For email assistance, contact the Help Desk at (504) 862-8888.
