The SoPA Student Organization (SoPASO) was re-launched in the Spring of 2017 to highlight and discuss special interests and community building opportunities for all graduate and part-time students enrolled in the School of Professional Advancement. The SoPA Student Organization also provides channels of communication between the students, SoPA faculty, and the greater Tulane community. The constitution can be found here.
SoPASO is organizing the Elmwood Food Truck roundup and the Uptown Food Drop events to celebrate the renaming of the school. More information about these events, as well as the celebration at our MS Gulf Coast campus can be found here.
As a renewed organization, we welcome everyone to join SoPASO and help shape student services for the school. In the coming months, we will conduct an online student survey to gather student feedback. We welcome your ideas and suggestions at any time!
Keith James III serves as the President of the SoPASO. He is an English major with a minor in Philosophy, and plans to graduate in 2019. Being from New Orleans, Keith couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to one of the greatest schools in the nation right in his hometown. Keith believes that the Tulane School of Professional Advancement opens doors to all who seek to grow in academic learning and applied knowledge. As president, Keith hopes to develop SoPASO as an organization that makes all SoPA students feel as welcomed as he has. The students and faculty are a diverse, loving family. Spearheading this organization is a life changing experience.
Hannah Johnson Wilson, a first year Health and Wellness major, serves as the Vice President of the School of Professional Advancement Student Organization. Hannah is pursuing a minor in Spanish and plans to further her career by getting her masters in physical therapy and traveling the world with her degrees. Hannah, a native New Orleanian, is a graduate of De La Salle High School and is ecstatic to take part in bringing back the student organization. She is pleased to know that she will be making a difference for the future of current and in-coming students to the School of Professional Advancement. close
