Mark Melasky is a Registered Patent Attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mark is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent cases. His practice includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and related intellectual property and business formation matters.
Mark is an Adjunct Professor in the Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business, where he teaches Law in Marketing, a course he designed to educate undergraduate business students on intellectual property issues in the context of marketing and business management. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Tulane University School of Professional Advancement, where he teaches Cyber Law & Policy, a course he designed to educate information technology management graduate students on legal issues, including cybersecurity.
Mark is the cofounder of the Louisiana Patent Pro Bono Program, a joint venture between The ELLA Project and the United States Patent and Trademark Office to match volunteer attorneys with inventors having limited resources.
Mark has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. He is also a licensed Zumba® Fitness and Strong by Zumba® Instructor and teaches weekly classes.
