Conversation with Antoinette Williams

Online

At the age of twenty-one, Antoinette Williams was the youngest candidate to run for a seat on the Orleans Parish School Board. She was also the valedictorian of her graduating class at McDonogh #35 High School and was a student at Xavier University while running her campaign. Today she’s pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy at Boston College. We’ll talk to Antoinette about her experience in New Orleans Public Schools, what prompted her to run for school board, as well as advice she has for college students that are learning to recognize inequities within school systems.
