Biography
Mr. Lawson teaches Physical Protection Systems as adjunct faculty in the Homeland Security Studies program. He is the Program Manager of Safeguards and Security Engineering for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC at the Savannah River Site. He has also served as a member of the site’s Vulnerability Assessment team and Emergency Response Operations. In addition, Mr. Lawson serves as adjunct faculty in the University of South Carolina – Aiken’s Industrial Process Engineering program. He has over 37 years of engineering and engineering management experience serving many different market sectors. He has nearly 100 technical and educational publications, and has a patent pending on a safeguards technology used to support nuclear nonproliferation treaties.
Mr. Lawson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, a Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and a Safeguards and Security professional certification from the Department of Energy’s National Training Center.

Trout fishing in the mountains.
