Biography
Amy Hansen is a graduate of Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology and Engineering Education with an emphasis in Multimedia. Hansen has a decade of experience in teaching, technology consulting and multimedia creation and currently serves as Associate Media Content Developer for SoPA’s LD&D team.
Her career in education began as a high school computer science and multimedia teacher in Washington, D.C., and Salt Lake City. She later returned home to New Orleans as the Academic Technology Specialist at Louise S. McGehee School where she advised K-12 faculty on how to better implement technology into their curriculum.
Hansen’s role on SoPA’s LD&D Media Team, combines her passion for education and creativity, while serving a greater mission at Tulane University — to enrich the lives of individuals through exceptional creation, communication, and conservation of knowledge.
In her spare time, she enjoys being in nature, home restoration and interior design, photography, playing music and singing.
