| The Elmo and Margaret Allen Waltzer Scholarship
This spring semester scholarship award recognizes a high-achieving SoPA student. Named in memory of Elmo Waltzer (UC '54), a charter member of SoPA's Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter and his wife Margaret, who were both supporters of lifelong education. Recipients are selected based on their service to their local communities, to SoPA, or to Tulane University.
The current application deadline is by midnight on January 4, 2024.

| Harrah's Scholarships for Minority Students
Endowed through a generous gift from the Harrah’s Foundation, these scholarships support the education of students who contribute to the ethnic diversity of Tulane’s undergraduate student body.
To be eligible, a SoPA undergraduate student must:
- Be a member of an ethnic minority group contributing to the diversity of the university
- Demonstrate academic merit (cumulative GPA of at least 3.4)
- Have declared a major field of study
- Have earned at least 30 credit hours through SoPA
The current application deadline is by midnight on January 4, 2024.

| Osher Re-entry Scholarships
The Osher Re-entry Scholarships, endowed by a $1,000,000 gift from the Bernard Osher Foundation, provide tuition assistance for adult students re-entering higher education. Multiple awards are available.
To be eligible for the Osher Re-entry Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled, part-time students in the School of Professional Advancement between the ages of 25 and 50
- Be pursuing his/her first bachelor’s degree
- Have a cumulative interruption of at least 5 years in their pursuit of higher education
- Have earned at least 9 credit hours at SoPA but not more than 40 credit hours total (including transfer credit)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Submit a complete application, including required tax forms
The current application deadline is by midnight on January 4, 2024.

SoPA Student Organization Presents: New Orleans Pelicans Vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Gameday Meet-up
