Graduates should visit the Commencement 2022 website for details about events, regalia and more. The Unified Ceremony takes place on May 21, at 9 a.m. followed by SoPA’s Diploma Ceremony at 1 p.m.

Tulane’s Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony honors the graduating students from all of the university's schools and colleges. It features the pomp and circumstance expected of a traditional commencement celebration with a New Orleans twist.  This event will include live New Orleans jazz, recognition of our 2020 graduates as they cross the stage and a keynote address by Col. Douglas G. Hurley, a 1988 Tulane graduate, NASA astronaut and commander of the first crewed test flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon.

Students who join as members of the Alpha Sigma Lambda, a National Honor Society for part-time students are among a select number of distinguished scholars who are recognized for their academic achievements and leadership during the past several semesters.

Please join us for our third induction of General Legal Studies Program students into the School of Professional Advancement’s Chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), the honor society for outstanding legal studies students.  This year’s event will occur on Friday evening, March 18, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

In addition to the University Commencement Ceremony, graduates are invited to the ceremony of the school awarding their degree. It is at these graduation ceremonies that your name is called, and you walk across the stage. These ceremonies will be in Yulman Stadium in the days preceding virtual Unified Commencement. Each graduating student will be allotted two guest tickets. Tickets are non-transferable and will be issued in coming weeks.
