Emergency & Security Studies Degrees & Certificates
The Emergency & Security Studies degree program at Tulane School of Professional Advancement provides a comprehensive overview of homeland security and emergency management. You'll learn and be able to apply a variety of skills from a managerial perspective, with an emphasis on leadership, data analysis, hands-on training, critical thinking, ethics, and decision making. Recurrent natural disasters, infrastructure attacks, and the ongoing threat of terrorism to the continental United States have made homeland security a rapidly growing field with a high demand for skilled leadership and informed management, both in the public sector and within private industries.
The School of Professional Advancement's Emergency & Security Studies program is a member and participant in the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS), InfraGard, the National Guard’s Homeland Security Institute, FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute, and the University and Agency Partner Program (UAPP), the nation’s leading program for establishing and sharing homeland security curriculum.
We also offer a minor in Homeland Security Studies. Take a look at the course descriptions and discover what you'll learn at Tulane School of Professional Advancement.
