SoPA and Tulane University are excited to announce the transition back to campus for the fall semester. While we encourage students to continue to meet with advisors, faculty and staff remotely, our offices will be open for limited in-person visits. Beginning Monday August 3, Elmwood offices are open 8:30A.M.– 5:00P.M. Gibson Hall offices will remain closed as Tulane renovates new space for SoPA on the Uptown campus. All faculty and staff are working and available.

Career Pathways: Emergency & Security Studies


This session will explore the diverse pathways and experiences in the field of Emergency and Security Studies. The session will be moderated by Dr. Michael Wallace, Director of the Emergency and Security Studies Program, who will lead a dynamic discussion with the following panelists:

  • Michael M Antoine, MPS, LEM-P, Deputy Director, New Orleans Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP), SoPA Alum
  • Bradley Hubbard, Senior Emergency Response Specialist, Shell Emergency Management
  • Mark Richards, Interim Associate Program Director and Lecturer, SoPA, Emergency and Security Studies Program
