Biography
Ms. Victoria McDowell was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received a swimming scholarship to Florida A & M University where she studied for two years before transferring to the University of New Orleans, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2008. She went on to complete the physical therapist assistant program at Delgado community college in 2010. Victoria is currently a practicing clinician at Ochsner Therapy and Wellness, as well as working PRN in the home health and nursing home settings. At Ochsner, she is also exploring her interest in health informatics and leadership as the Epic super user and participating in various Go-Lives at other Ochsner facilities. She is currently a board member for the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, serves on the Delgado PTA program advisory board, and has served with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. To broaden her depth of knowledge and experience outside of the PT realm, most recently Victoria completed a Masters in health and wellness management at Tulane SOPA in May 2019. She is passionate about providing others with the encouragement and tools they need to succeed. Victoria feels very blessed to be able to use her passion and purpose to drive change and to pour into the lives of others.
