Biography
Ryan “R.T.” Hill is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with the Allied Resource Group in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the owner of a private physical therapy practice, The Stride Shop, and is considered an Orthopedic Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. His practice centers on orthopedic rehabilitation, specifically with the athletic population from high school to the professional level.
Additionally, Ryan is a member of the U.S. Army Medical Staff, he is a biomechanics and sports performance consultant with the Top Velocity Pitching Academy, and is also a licensed Equine and Canine Sports Massage Therapist. In affiliation with Tulane University, Ryan is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Professional Advancement where he teaches The Human Body, a course designed to educate students in the structural and functional significance of multiple body systems.
Ryan has a degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences. He completed a residency in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy through the University of St. Augustine.
What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
Traveling with my wife, learning a new skill, and participating in adventure races.
What advice would you give to someone who’s considering finishing their degree, or starting for the first time as an adult?
Keep your mind open to the idea of changing your career multiple times throughout your life. Finishing a degree or starting a degree program for the first time will open the doorways to more and more of those opportunities.
