Biography
Prisca, a native of New Orleans, is Assistant Director of Academic Advising with the School of Professional Advancement. She works with students seeking degrees in the areas of General Legal Studies, Humanities, and Social Science, while supporting students transferring into Newcomb Tulane College. Ms. Washington holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Xavier University of Louisiana.
For more than 10 years, Prisca served as the Founding Program Director for Posse New Orleans, a national non-profit organization that awards Posse scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships. She oversaw the programs that identifies, recruits, trains, and supports scholar-leaders throughout their college journey. Prior to serving as the Program Director of Posse New Orleans, Prisca taught high school English for five years in Orleans Parish, where she also coached high school basketball and softball.
