What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
I enjoy spending time with my urban chickens and enjoying porch time with the family.
What advice would you give to someone who's considering finishing their degree, or starting for the first time as an adult?
Never let anyone or anything hold you back. You can do it, even if it takes a long time. There is no shame in taking things at a different pace than people that might have an easier path and more time on their hands. And never stop learning. Life is not supposed to be a sprint!
What is the best advice you've ever received?
That I was not the typical "manager type" I was more of a coach. I was never the type that could pull off coming at people with textbook knowledge; that isn't my strong point. I needed to use my strength and that was being a coach and mentor. It helped me relax into what I did well and what I didn't.
