Jerry V. Graves, Ph.D.

Jerry V. Graves, Ph.D. worked in the public sector for over a decade prior to founding Graves Public Services, LLC, a New Orleans-based consulting firm that specializes in environmental planning and emergency management. He joined the emergency and security studies program faculty at Tulane University in 2015 and has since joined the school’s master of public administration (MPA) program faculty. Dr. Graves is also a member of the MPA program faculty at the University of New Orleans (UNO).
The International Journal of Mass Emergencies and Disasters and the American Bar Association have both published Dr. Graves’s research. He also recently authored content for several other upcoming publications on topics ranging from research methods to agricultural and fishery disaster policy.
Dr. Graves earned a doctorate in urban studies and MPA from UNO. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
