Biography

Geneva Torrence is a certified Career and Life Coach through the International Coach Federation. She specializes in career development including expertise in personality assessment, professional documents, and interviewing. Ms. Torrence has served Tulane University in a variety of roles, including Career Coach, Success Coach, and Greek Life advisor.

Additionally, Ms. Torrence is an instructor for Newcomb-Tulane College, SISE, and in SoPA’s Business and Leadership Studies program. She loves to build interpersonal relationships and help students navigate all aspects of college life. Furthermore, she enjoys collaborating with students to develop the skills to tackle life after Tulane.

Ms. Torrence holds a B.S. from the school of Mass Communications and Journalism at The University of Southern Mississippi, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Tulane.  When Ms. Torrence is not working with students she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs indulging in all the food, fun, and local music New Orleans has to offer.
 
What is your favorite app and why?
Alarmy is an all-time favorite and must have app! Getting out of bed in the morning can be the hardest part of my day. Alarmy ensures I start my day off right by asking me to perform task that get me up and at 'em!
 
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Anywhere there is a beach!
