Tulane SoPA's Application Process for Transfer Students

Your first step in the transfer process is submission of official transcripts from all colleges and universities that you previously attended. Request that your previous institutions forward electronic transcripts to soparecords@tulane.edu.

If electronic transcripts are not available, official transcripts in unopened envelopes from the institution may be mailed to:
SoPA Admissions
800 E. Commerce Rd.
Suite 100
Harahan, LA 70123

Once we receive your transcripts, an academic advisor will work with you to identify your transferable courses. In order to transfer course credit, you may need to show a syllabus and/or detailed course description, you must have earned at least a C in the course and Tulane SoPA must offer a course comparable to the one you want to transfer. The transfer courses will then be evaluated by the campus department that houses the content area. Tulane SoPA accepts a maximum of 60 hours of transfer credits for bachelor’s degrees. Grades from transferred courses will not factor into your SoPA grade point average.

Current SoPA students wishing to take courses at another institution and transfer credits back to SoPA must first receive approval from the dean's office and their appropriate department.
