We Help Tulane Faculty Build Better Online Courses
The Learning Design & Development team at Tulane's School of Professional Advancement helps faculty create online courses. You know your subject. We know how to shape it into a course that students can follow and learn from.
We plan the course with you and build the videos and activities that go into it. We also make sure the course works for students of all abilities.
Our Mission
Every student deserves a course that makes sense and works for them. We design with students in mind first and hold ourselves accountable by continually self-evaluating our work.
What We Do
Course Design
We help you plan your course, from the first lesson to the final project.
Faculty Support
Workshops and one-on-one help with teaching online.
Video & Media
We produce videos and interactive activities for your course.
Measuring Results
We help you design tests and assignments, then use the results to see what is working.
Accessibility
We review courses for accessibility, make any needed changes, and show you how to build accessible courses from the start.
Our Process
We plan courses backward. We start with what students should be able to do when the course ends, then work back from there. A typical project takes 8 to 12 weeks, and we review the finished course with you before students ever see it
1
Start with the goal.
Decide what students should know or be able to do by the end.
2
Decide how they will show it.
Plan the projects and tests that prove they learned it.
3
Build the lessons.
Create the content and activities that get them there.
Service Categories
Choose from Lite, Standard, or Comprehensive support based on your timeline and project scope. Each tier includes clear milestones and deliverables.
