A Message from Dean Suri Duitch

I hope that you have had a good summer and that you and your loved ones are safe and well. We are tremendously excited for the fall semester to start, and to get to spend time with you, both online and in person.

During this challenging time, I continue to be so grateful for Tulane’s focus on the safety and health of all community members. As you are aware, students are required to be vaccinated in order to be on campus. Online students who will not be on campus are also required to report vaccination status – whether you are learning online or on-ground, you must either upload a copy of your vaccination or complete a vaccine declination form. Current university policies are always up-to-date on the university’s website.

For those who are in the Gulf South region, we are having an open house daily Monday, Aug. 23 - Thursday, Aug. 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at our Elmwood campus and in our beautiful new space in Richardson Hall (Bldg. #5) on the Uptown campus. We are especially pleased to show off a special new mural designed and painted by students and alumni of our Media and Design program – if you follow us on social media, you’ve seen the process from beginning to end. Please stop by to see the space and join us for refreshments and special new giveaways!

If you aren't already keeping up with SoPA, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

As always, the faculty and staff of SoPA are here to support you and to help create the circumstances in which you can do your best academic work – please let us know how you are doing now, and throughout the fall.

My best wishes for a great semester!

Regards,

Suri Duitch
